Let's talk about this amazing CD in here. Favorite song(s) on it?

I love 'Don't believe a word', such an amazing guitar solo on it Wink

The only YEAH CD I still need is the Best Buy version, I have both CD's from Wal-Mart and also the Target version of it.

I love each and every song on it though. Is it possible to NOT like a song by the guys? It isn't for me, I love all of their stuff, even the stuff that got bad reviews.

Some of the songs from the first two releases I'm not fond of. There are more songs that I do like than ones I don't.

It's possible for me! On Yeah!, I really don't like "He's Gonna Step On You Again." Just don't like it. I don't like the original, either, so it's not just their version.

On Yeah, I love Waterloo Sunset and 20th Century; Little Bit Of Love is sort of my latest favorite. Don't Believe A Word has great guitars, but Vivian told us that *he* was supposed to sing lead on it so the vocals are a let down for me. Not that Joe does them badly, just that they're not what I wanted!

I agree, but would put it further that I just don't like some of their songs from all of the records. I didn't love All Night. I just thought it was goofy. I know it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but I still didn't like it.

Personal Property is another I really don't like.

I'm so very tired of Two Steps Behind that I cringe when I hear it!

Yes, I was disappointed Viv didn't get to sing that one too. I have heard him sing it and he did a fantastic job on it. Not that Joe doesn't, Joe does a great job on it too Very Happy

My faves on Yeah are 20th Century Boy, Rock On, Hanging on the Telephone, and Stay with Me.

Related to the other ongoing discussion in this thread, there are a few songs of Lep's that I think aren't as great as the others, but I still prefer them to most other music. (ex. No Matter What, Promises, Paper Sun, Pearl of Euphoria) And I rarely agree with which singles they choose to release first. (Why would you release No Matter What over the others listed above? Why Now and not Four Letter Word? Why release Promises or Goodbye instead of To Be Alive or Demolition Man? Why Heaven Is and not Tear it Down? Etc...)
