Steve will always be greatly missed. He was so talented and it's shame his life came to an end the way it did. It really sucked for me b/c he died on my birthday! Sad Crying or Very sad

I have another DL friend that shares your birthday, so I truly understand how bad that sucks.

How did you hear about it? My mom came home and I was watching MTV...Ice Ice Baby was on...and she said that one of the guys from Def Leppard died. (She wasn't a fan at the time.) I thought she fell for some radio station prank, but then she made it clear that it was real. I asked her who it was and she said "the guitarist." I started screaming about how that didn't narrow it down, etc. I obviously figured it out shortly thereafter. A local hard rock station paid tribute to him all night. Wow. Sad, vivid memories.

Yeah, the anniversary of his death is on my birthday and on the more positive side, I share a birthday w/ Elvis (funny for me since both my parents were huge fans) and I believe David Bowie as well.

I don't remember how I found out, more than likely it was on MTV, I watched it 24/7 back then, when it was actually good Rolling Eyes

On the other hand, you share a birthday with Stephen Hawking... i think that's pretty cool, since he's probably the most intelligent person alive...

on Steve: maybe you've seen this before, but I've just found it and i just wanted to share my "discovery":
